About Us

Lifepoint … loving God & serving people

God birthed a vision of a church that would be vitally linked to its community … that would initiate anything but “random” acts of kindness! To be the kind of church that would strive to be relevant in a culture that doesn’t necessarily trust churches. To be the kind of church that would value people who are hurting and searching for hope. To be the kind of church that would value families and encourage parents. A church that would bring a message of grace and not merely guilt … relying on God’s Spirit to move in peoples lives.

The gospel is a powerful message of love, faith and hope, and at Lifepoint, you’ll find those qualities being crafted into the life of this church. With each passing week, we see this church emerging to meet the needs of our community, culture and world through the power of Christ! Some churches in our culture are “come and see” type churches. At Lifepoint, you’ll find a “go and do” attitude that leads us to “be” the church.

Lifepoint is a newer church. Brad and Melissa Kochis along with their kids, moved from Atlanta, GA to start Lifepoint Church in September 2003. After spending ten years in youth ministry, Brad and Melissa sensed God leading them to Columbus to start a new church.

The church began having services in May of 2004 in the Kochis family’s living room! God gave Lifepoint a vision to be a church that would reach out in kindness and begin to see God’s grace transform the lives of young families.

In a short time God has done big things! What began in a living room has blossomed to a church where more than 600 people call it their place of worship.

Lifepoint is a place where you can come as you are, engage in your journey and experience God’s grace.

We desire…
to be a catalyst movement of celebration, life groups, evangelism and discipleship, where our words follow our actions.

We hope…
to reach, care for and connect people to Jesus Christ in a meaningful way while maintaining our guiding values as we grow.
